The amateur choir of young singers "Kamēr..." (?While..?), led by M?ris Sirmais, in the fifteen years of its existence has become the favorite of the Latvian public. The choir has received the highest state award in Latvia ? The Grand Prix for Music, as well as the Prime Minister?s Award, it has fetched awards in over seventy international competitions, including the lofty Grand Prix for European choirs. M?ris Sirmais and the choir ?Kam?r?? have performed with well-known professional musicians, conductors and soloists, it has enjoyed enthusiastic response by the audiences and critics alike as well as surprise reactions from professionals for their emotional and impeccable performances. The participants of the choir, young people from all over Latvia, have been dedicating their time and energy to music. At this day and age. With all their hearts.
