Today. Europa. Riga, the capital of Latvia. More 220 000 people queued for hours for three days to get a glimpse at a 2000 year old, faded icon – Tikhvin Icon.

It is believed that Luka, the apostle, created the Icon of the Mother of God while she lived in Jerusalem.

What made these people spend long hours queueing to see the Icon? The film does not explore or comment on this question. An objective cinematic observation lets everybody find their own answers and assess what they see.
